Título: CARICOM Risk Assessment and Product Safety Training- February 2017
Resumen: Between February 8th and 10th, CARICOM member states had the opportunity to participate in a training session on "Risk Assessment and Product Safety", held in Kingston, Jamaica. The training was supported by the Department of Social Inclusion of the Organization of American States, which serves as the Technical Secretariat of the Consumer Safety and Health Network (CSHN). Twenty-nine participants from Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize , Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago joined the event.

The training was conducted by Richard O'Brien, Director of the Office of International Programs and Ms. Patricia Edwards, Voluntary Standards Coordinator of the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), who shared with the participating countries how the CPSC evaluates product risks and the measures taken to prevent them from entering its market or withdraw them if they are already in circulation
