Title: Presentation of the Inter-American Rapid Alerts System (SIAR) at the OECD Working Party on Consumer Product Safety Meeting (26-27 April 2017)
Summary: The Consumer Safety and Health Network was invited by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) to present the SIAR within the framework of the Working Party on Consumer Product Safety Meeting, held in Paris, France, on April 26th-27th, 2017. The presentation took place within the context of the discussions on the OECD "Global Recalls" Portal.

The presentation was delivered by Mr. Juan José Goldschtein, Director of the OAS Department of Information and Technology, which was in charge of the technological development of the platform and manages the technical operation of the network.

During the presentation, Mr. Goldschtein explained about the functionalities of both the platform and the Inter-American Rapid Alerts System (SIAR). This system was developed jointly with the OAS member states that are members of the CSHN. Its updates are also done with their permanent collaboration.
